Your personal driver-guide will pick you up from your Kampala hotel. After a warm welcome and a brief chat about the adventure ahead, we hit the road, heading north. Enjoy the changing scenery as we travel towards Kitgum, with a relaxing lunch stop along the way.
Overnight: Fugly’s Hotel, Kitgum
After an early breakfast, we continue our journey into the remote Karamoja region. We'll pass through traditional villages and endless farm fields, arriving at the magnificent Kidepo Valley National Park in time for lunch. This afternoon, we dive straight into adventure with an evening game drive through this iconic wilderness.
Overnight: UWA Bandas (Apoka Rest Camp)
Rise with the sun for a magical morning game drive. Kidepo is teeming with life, from massive herds of buffalo to soaring birds of prey. This afternoon, we embark on a special drive to the Kanangorok Hot Springs on the park's northern border—a remote and beautiful spot where ostriches are often seen striding across the plains.
Overnight: UWA Bandas (Apoka Rest Camp)
Today, we connect with the soul of the land. After a leisurely breakfast, we'll visit a local Karamojong homestead. Experience their vibrant culture, music, and dance, and learn about their unique way of life. After lunch, we begin our journey south, reflecting on the wild beauty of Kidepo as we drive back to Kitgum.
Overnight: Fugly’s Hotel, Kitgum
We set off after breakfast, travelling through the vibrant city of Gulu towards Murchison Falls National Park. The drive is scenic, and the anticipation builds! Our entry game drive through the park to your lodge is an adventure in itself—watch for elephants, giraffes, and buffaloes welcoming you to their home.
Overnight: Fort Murchison (Lazy Camping for Budget / Lodge for Comfort)
An early start rewards us with the best wildlife viewing. We'll spend the morning on a game drive across the rolling savannah, searching for lions, hartebeest, and more. After lunch, we trade the vehicle for a boat for an unforgettable cruise to the base of Murchison Falls. Feel the power of the Nile! For the final act, hike to the top of the falls for a spectacular panoramic view—your driver will be there to congratulate you.
Overnight: Fort Murchison (Lazy Camping for Budget / Lodge for Comfort)
After a final breakfast in the wild, we depart for Kampala. But the adventure isn't over yet! We stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided trek on foot to track the magnificent white rhinos—a truly humbling and hopeful experience. After lunch, we relax on the final leg of our journey, returning you to your Kampala hotel with a camera full of photos and a heart full of memories.
