Highlights

  • Morning Game Drive: Seek out the "Big Cats" and other wildlife on an exhilarating safari drive across the Kasenyi Plains.
  • Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise: Witness one of the world's highest concentrations of hippos and an incredible density of wildlife from the water.
  • A Medley of Wonders: Experience the diverse ecosystems of Queen Elizabeth National Park, from sprawling savannah to dense marshland and serene crater lakes.
  • The Sounds of the Wild: Fall asleep to the symphony of the African bush and wake up to the calls of tropical birds.

Day 1: The Journey West – Equator Crossings & A Warm Welcome to the Wild

Your adventure begins as your friendly safari guide picks you up from your accommodation in Kampala or Entebbe. After a warm welcome and a brief chat about the exciting days ahead, we hit the road, journeying through the lush landscapes of western Uganda.

Our first stop is a classic photo opportunity! Stand with one foot in the southern hemisphere and the other in the north at the iconic Equator line in Kayabwe. Feel free to browse the local crafts for a unique souvenir.

We’ll enjoy a delicious lunch in Mbarara City before continuing towards the park. As the landscape transforms, keep your eyes peeled for your first glimpses of wildlife. If time allows, we’ll treat you to a bonus, slow-paced evening drive as we approach your lodge, settling you into the rhythm of the wild. The evening is yours to relax, listen to the sounds of the bush, and anticipate the thrills of tomorrow.

Day 2: The Wild Heart – Predators, Giants & A River of Life

Rise with the sun for a truly magical experience. After an early breakfast, we venture into the Kasenyi Plains as the savannah awakens. This is the prime time to spot the park’s famous residents. We’ll spend the morning searching for majestic elephants, large herds of Uganda Kob, formidable buffalo, and the park’s famous predators – with a bit of luck, you might spot a pride of lions or even the elusive leopard.

We return to the lodge for a well-deserved lunch and a chance to relax. In the afternoon, we trade our safari vehicle for a boat and embark on a breathtaking cruise down the Kazinga Channel. This is often described as the highlight of the trip. Glide along the water, getting up-close to massive pods of hippos, sunbathing crocodiles, and elephants bathing at the water's edge. The air is filled with the calls of magnificent water birds, creating a truly serene and unforgettable spectacle.

Day 3: Scenic Goodbyes – A Leisurely Return with Lasting Memories

Enjoy a final, leisurely breakfast overlooking the wilderness. We then begin our journey back, taking a scenic route through the "Green Fort Portal" region, known for its rolling hills and tea plantations.

We’ll stop for a delightful lunch at the famous Equator restaurant, a perfect spot to reflect on your safari stories one last time. The journey continues, filled with beautiful views, until we drop you off at your preferred location in Kampala or Entebbe, filled with incredible memories and a camera full of photos.
