A 5-day luxury safari showcasing Kenya’s most iconic wildlife destinations. This journey takes you from the flamingo-lined shores of Lake Nakuru to the vast, wildlife-rich plains of the Masai Mara, offering exceptional game viewing, luxurious lodge accommodations, and a chance to witness the Great Migration and experience Maasai culture.
Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), you will be warmly greeted by your professional driver-guide from Africa Veterans Safaris. After a brief safari overview, embark on a scenic drive descending the Great Rift Valley escarpment to the picturesque Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive in time for lunch at your luxury camp. In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive. Dubbed a "bird watcher's paradise," the lake is often a shimmering pink haze of flamingos. The park is also a renowned rhino sanctuary, offering excellent chances to see both black and white rhinos. Keep an eye out for buffaloes, giraffes, and the park's resident predators.
Dinner & Overnight: Flamingo Hill Camp
After breakfast, depart for the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey itself is an adventure, traversing the dramatic floor of the Rift Valley. Arrive at your lodge in time for a delicious lunch. Then, immerse yourself in the magic of the Mara with an extensive afternoon game drive. Scan the vast golden plains for prides of lion, towering elephants, and graceful antelopes as the African sun begins to set.
Dinner & Overnight: Mara Sopa Lodge
These two days are dedicated to exploring the immense beauty and biodiversity of the Masai Mara. After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive with picnic lunches, allowing you to venture deep into the reserve. The Mara is host to nature's greatest spectacle – the Great Wildebeest Migration (typically July-October), where millions of wildebeest and zebra thunder across the plains. Even outside the migration season, the Mara teems with wildlife. Search for cheetahs on the hunt, leopards resting in acacia trees, and vast herds of elephants. On one of the afternoons, you may choose to arrange a visit to a local Maasai village for a fascinating cultural experience (at an additional cost).
Dinner & Overnight: Mara Sopa Lodge
Savor one last leisurely breakfast in the bush, listening to the sounds of the awakening wilderness. Afterwards, begin your journey back to Nairobi, enjoying a final glimpse of the Kenyan landscape. You will be dropped off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight, filled with memories to last a lifetime.
