Today, that story has been triumphantly rewritten. Thanks to relentless anti-poaching efforts, the tide has turned. Visitors are now regularly treated to the awe-inspiring sight of large herds of 50 or more elephants, which have wisely sought sanctuary in the protected areas near the park’s lodges.
