6 Days Lake Mburo National Park and Bwindi Gorilla Safari

Wake up to the sounds of the bush and head out for a thrilling morning game drive. Search for buffaloes, hyenas, and the beautiful herds of antelope that call this park home. Return to the lodge for a relaxing lunch. In the afternoon, we switch gears for a serene boat cruise on Lake Mburo. After breakfast, we begin our scenic drive south, heading towards the legendary Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Our journey is broken with fascinating stops, including a visit to the Igongo Cultural Centre to learn about Uganda's rich heritage and a hike to the historical Eclipse Monument. We'll arrive at your lodge on the outskirts of Bwindi in the evening, where the cool mountain air sets the stage for tomorrow's grand adventure. This is the day you've been waiting for! After an early breakfast and a short drive to the park headquarters, you'll receive a briefing from the rangers. Then, the trek begins! Led by expert trackers, you'll hike through the dense, beautiful forest. The effort is forgotten the moment you encounter a family of mountain gorillas. You will have one full hour to observe these gentle giants—a memory that will last a lifetime. After this profound experience and a well-deserved lunch, we'll lighten the mood with a visit to the Batwa community, learning about their ancient forest culture and traditions.
