Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our friendly representative will greet you with a warm smile and a refreshing drink. Take a moment to gaze over the vast waters of Lake Victoria.After settling into your hotel in Kampala, we'll embark on an afternoon city tour. Feel the city's pulse at the local markets, delve into the nation's soul at the Uganda National Museum, and reflect at the Independence Monument.We'll return to the lodge for a delicious dinner and a restful night, ready for the adventure ahead.
After a hearty breakfast, we begin our scenic journey southwest. The drive itself is a spectacle of lush landscapes, friendly villages, and sprawling plantations. We'll break for lunch at the fascinating Igongo Cultural Centre, where you can learn about the region's history. As the cool, fresh air greets you, we'll arrive at your lodge on the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Check in, enjoy a warm dinner, and fall asleep to the sounds of the forest.
This is the day! After an early breakfast, we'll drive to the park headquarters where passionate ranger guides will brief you on gorilla etiquette and the family you're about to meet. Then, the trek begins. Follow your guide into the dense, beautiful jungle. The hike can be challenging but is immensely rewarding. Listen for rustling leaves and bird calls—every sense comes alive. Finding them is a moment of pure magic. You'll have one full hour to sit quietly with these gentle giants, watching them play, feed, and interact. It's a profoundly moving experience you'll carry forever. After the trek, return to the lodge to relive the moments over lunch, with a free afternoon to relax and reflect.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before we take a short, picturesque transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, nestled between three mighty volcanic peaks. Check into your new lodge, enjoy lunch, and spend the afternoon at your own pace—perhaps a gentle walk to spot some of the park's vibrant birdlife or simply relaxing with a book and the stunning view.
Another thrilling day of tracking awaits! After breakfast and a briefing, you'll venture into Mgahinga's unique ecosystem in search of a different gorilla family. In the afternoon, the adventure continues with a visit to a local Batwa community. This is a heartfelt cultural experience where you'll learn about their ancient forest traditions through storytelling, song, and dance. Return to your lodge for a final celebratory dinner in the highlands.
After a final breakfast, we begin our journey back to Entebbe. We'll make a special stop at the Equator line for a classic photo and a bit of souvenir shopping. We'll enjoy one last lunch together before arriving at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight, filled with memories that will last a lifetime.
