This three-day journey is more than a tour—it’s an adventure that will take you from the bustling capital, across the Equator, and into the lush, rolling hills of southwestern Uganda, culminating in a life-changing hour with a gorilla family.
Your adventure starts early as you meet your friendly and knowledgeable safari guide. We'll hit the road, leaving the city's energy behind for the stunning landscapes of the west. Our journey is part of the experience, complete with a stop to snap pictures at the Equator line. After a delicious lunch, we'll continue through rolling hills and terraced farmlands, arriving at the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest as the evening sets in. Settle into your lodge, listen to the sounds of the forest, and enjoy a hearty dinner in anticipation of the big day tomorrow.
Today is the day! After an early breakfast, we'll drive to the park headquarters for a vital briefing. You'll be assigned to a gorilla family and meet your guide and rangers. Then, the trek begins. Led by expert trackers, you'll venture into the dense, green forest. The hike can be challenging but is immensely rewarding. The moment you find the gorillas is pure magic. For one unforgettable hour, you'll observe them as they go about their daily lives. It’s a humbling and exhilarating experience.
After the trek, we'll celebrate your achievement and then journey to the serene Lake Bunyonyi. Here, you can relax your muscles, soak in the stunning views, and reflect on your extraordinary day.
Wake up to the peaceful calm of the lake. After breakfast, we'll take a guided boat trip across the placid waters, learning the local legends of the 29 islands from our guide. Feel the cool breeze and take in the final, beautiful moments of your Ugandan adventure.
We'll then begin our journey back to Kampala or Entebbe, stopping for a final lunch and souvenir shopping at the Equator. We'll say our goodbyes, filled with memories of misty forests and the deep, knowing gaze of a mountain gorilla.
